Yay for freckles

The BBC is reporting that the number of moles a person has, is  a good indicator of how quickly they  age. Apparently, the more moles a person has, the longer their telomeres, and the slower their rate of ageing. It's not all good news, however, mole-laden people have increased risks of skin cancers like melanoma.

  1. Interesting… but, how the heck you get a rigourous measure of a person’s moles? Can’t be done unless you use population averages (like % of C, H, N, O, P atoms or so), which turns all the idea into rubbish cause if you use averages to calculate moles of atoms (or molecules) to then try to calculate age expectation… the error should be quite huge… well who knows… maybe they guys can do it…

  2. …funny, Felipe, funny :)

  3. I think you should open RIGHT NOW a new category in your sidebar… MIRROR NEURON SYSTEMS!!!

I tell you this… in a few more years MirNeuSys are going to be massively popular… Language, cultural transmision, role on human evolution, etc…

Technology just needs to catch up a little bit more…

    xD

  4. That’s cultural transmision of motor actions (speech, signs, all kind of behaviour…).

    No room for ambiguity.

  5. I like my freckles.
